Infrared Sauna Programs

  • Cardio Program - uses near, mid and far infrared. It starts at a high intensity to increase heart rate and cardiac output then lowers to sustain heart rate level. Circulation increases to promote healthy blood pressure. The heaters in this sauna have been clinically shown to reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

  • Detoxification program - uses mid and far infrared. It starts at a high intensity to increase body's core temperature then reduces to a lower, comfortable intensity level. Infrared combination improves vascular access flow to reach toxins at the cellular level. The sunlight sauna generates a sweat 7 x more detoxifying than a traditional sauna.

  • Pain Relief program - uses near, mid and far infrared. This infrared blend provides natural pain relief by reducing inflammation and swelling while near infrared LEDs penetrate the tissue to promote cellular repair at a medium, constant intensity level. Researches have found therapeutic benefits to back, neck and arthritis pain from continuous use of infrared heat therapy.

  • Relaxation program - uses near and far infrared. Far infrared induces deep relaxation as it relieves muscle tension at a low, comfortable intensity promoting overall stress reduction with regular use. These saunas have been designed to encourage the purest form of relaxation and stress reduction.

  • Weight Loss program - uses mid and far infrared. It starts at a high intensity to stimulate the cardiovascular system then reduces to a medium level. As the body works to cool itself, there is an increase in heart rate, cardiac output and metabolic rate similar to exercise. Studies have shown an infrared sauna session can burn up to 600 calories. Sunlight saunas showed a reduction in belly fat in just a 3 month period.

  • Skin Health program - uses near and far infrared. A low constant intensity level penetrates tissue to help with various skin concerns. Near infrared LED's improve overall skin tone, elasticity and firmness promoting anti-aging benefits. The skin's appearance improves as pores open from the deeper sweat induced by our infrared therapy. Helps decrease cellulite.

Infrared Sauna Frequently Asked Questions

Can infrared sauna detox my body?

At Awaken Now, our Sunlighten’s highly efficient, patented SoloCarbon® infrared heating technology gives you the best detoxification experience because it is clinically proven to raise core body temperature by three degrees. You experience a deep, productive sweat from your cells as the SoloCarbon infrared waves penetrate your skin and heat your core to expel the toxins, rather than just sitting in hot, ambient air that only heats your outer skin.

This creates an enjoyable experience of more productive sweat, rather than an uncomfortable, stifling hot and less-productive sweat.

Is infrared sauna use good for my cardio system?

Infrared sauna sessions raise your heart rate and increase circulation. This replicates a cardiovascular workout we term “passive cardio.” In fact, blood flow during infrared sauna use may rise from a normal rate of 5-7 quarts/minute to up to 13 quarts/minute. Your heart is a muscle; working it makes it stronger. A stronger cardiovascular system helps capillaries deliver more oxygen to muscle cells. For people with injuries or conditions precluding them from cardio activity, Sunlighten saunas do not take the place of but can help serve as an addition for needed cardio benefits.

Can infrared sauna use boost my immune system?

Your body naturally defends itself. During a fever, body temperature rises and strengthens the immune system. It’s a signal to white blood cells and the body’s antiviral army of lymphocytes, neutrophils and interferons to come to the rescue. Increased body temp may also help fight infections as it stimulates heat shock proteins that deter viruses from reproducing and reduces inflammatory cytokine proteins. Raising body temp above normal for therapeutic treatment is called hyperthermia. Sunlighten’s infrared heating technology gives you the highest quality and quantity of infrared clinically proven to raise core body temperature by three degrees.

How can infrared light benefit muscle recovery and performance?

Heat, in and of itself, is great for recovery, temporary pain relief and inflammation. Infrared light heats the body from within and penetrates the joints, muscles and tissues, increasing circulation and blood flow.

Good circulation is critical for proper healing. Red blood cells carry oxygen and nutrients to the site of the strain or inflammation, which helps to create new blood vessels and tissues at the site. The more red and white blood cells that can get delivered to muscles, the quicker they rebuild.

Can infrared sauna use help the effects stress has on my entire body?

Studies show stress impacts the brain, blood pressure, weight, and immune system. It creates memory problems, anxiety and learning difficulties. Neuroscientists say chronic stress can cause physical changes in grey and white matter, and impact quantity of neurons and the size and connectivity of the amygdala.

The American Institute of Stress estimates stress problems make up 75 to 90% of all primary care doctor visits. Cortisol is the culprit. Stress increases that “fight or flight” hormone that raises heart rate, and blood pressure and deposits excess calories in our midsection.

Is it ok to use the sauna while breastfeeding?

Please consult with your physician, as this answer is usually yes, but may be no depending upon your specific circumstances.
